When you sign up for a triathlon, you never ever want to miss a workout. With less than 90 days til our June 24 Tri Goddess Triathlon, every one of us on Team TriEverything is huffing and puffing in a new kind of way. Sure, we're all in decent shape but when you know you're going to swim 1/4 mile, then bike 11 miles, then run 1.5 miles, well, you just ramp up the training to ensure you finish strong on race day. I've learned alot about triathlons:
- In 10 short weeks, we'll have the buff arms of a swimmer, firm butt of a cyclist, and toned legs of a runner.
- We'll be swimming, biking and running in the same "Aquaglide, lightweight, water resistant, low drag" shorts and top so that we don't lose a second changing clothes during the transitions.
- Setting a goal like completing a triathlon in good form and with a good time is a powerful motivator that's getting us in tip top shape.
I've already trained more for this event than I did for last year's Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure, where we walked 60 miles in 3 days. And that's a good thing.
Here's to my bff and TriEverything Sisters!
